Fr Barreto s/oRoque Santano J / Agusta Barreto, r/o AlleamvadoChinchinim<https://www.facebook.com/crc.chinchinim>.Born on 14/6/1944 and ordained priest on 26/4/1970. He has served in Simla, Chandigarh and Goa Diocese He was iin charge of Priest house in Chinchinim completed the ground floor on 31/May/1986. He was also involved in forming the statutes of Association of Priest of Chinchinim In the year 1969 Nov, 5 May opened YCSU reading/ lending library, later transfered to Adv Mario de Loyola Fyrtado l social service centre. On Jun June 9 , 1984, opened social service centre and mutual benefit fund at Chinchinim. A new building Care for the Old is established in Raia, The Villagers of Chinchinim are naturally proud of his achiements and congratulate him for his valuable contributions and specially detailed documentations. Presently he is the Parish Priest of Sao Jacinta Island Church, He has brought out a magazine titled CHINCHNIM OLD PARISH It is a treasure trove of History and must read for all Chinchinim Villagers. It contains details of all chapels and churches with images, in Grande freguesia de Chinchinim, tributes by names of the old departed priest and those presently in the srvice of the vineyard of the Lord, from different congregation as well.Brief histories and details of associations , activities, accounts of activities et al. are also recorded.
