Dear Aires,

A Press Statement is being sent out from the office of the GOA SU-RAJ PARTY applauding your efforts through RTI to obtain sensitive information in connection with the Laadly Laxmi Scam ( and not a Scheme) as reported in the GT WEEKENDER.

The Laadly Laxmi scheme is a vote-bank scheme and was intended to be such from it's inception. To add vinegar to the wound's of right thinking people of Goa, our Laadla CM has gone on the TV to be kissed by a child to perpetuate the fraud. This IIT'an thinks that the people of GOA are fools and cannot see through him like the X-ray does.

You have quoted the 37th. President of the United States of America, President Richar Nixon, who was involved in the WATERGATE scandal, one of the first scandals that rocked the world where for the first time an American President was impeached and resigned from office. But let me quote the First American President who said the following: You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
Abraham Lincoln

These things are probably not taught in India's Esteemed IIT Institutions.

Cheers

PS: Goa Su-Raj Party also patiently awaits the ruling of the SC on the Goa Raj Bhavan w.r.t. RTI. With the sensitive info requested in our application, the Goa Raj Bhavan is going to be turned UPSIDE DOWN for the first time since the exit of the Portuguese from GOA.

Subject: [Goanet] RTI ACT: A VERY POTENT WEAPON TO FIGHT CORRUPTION ANDNEPOTISM

After decades of hectic lobbying, the efforts of civil society for getting
the Right to Information law in place bore fruit on 15 June 2005 when the
President of India gave assent to the Right to Information Act 2005. Over
the last seven years however the greater challenge has been the actual
implementation of the Act.

The 37th President of the United States of America Mr. Richard Nixon had in
1972 very rightly said “When information which properly belongs to the
public is systematically withheld by those in power, the people soon become
ignorant of their own affairs, distrustful of those who manage them, and -
eventually - incapable of determining their own destinies."
