Just read Bollywood star Rani Mukherjee's interview. Below is one of the questions she answered: -- How much of a Maharashtrian are you?
I was born and brought up in Mumbai, so I am a complete Maharashtrian. Though in this Aiyya I had to work on my Hindi in order to speak it the way a Maharashtrian speaks Hindi. My tutor was my director. -- BTW, Rani is Bengali. So, for commercial purposes she's totally Maharashtrian. Ti amchi "manoos". Would Raj Thackeray be pleased hearing it? So, those migrants in Goa whose children were born in Goa can say they are complete Goans? I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that Florianobab of the Suraj Party called Rajan Narayan "honourary Goan", when both were pals. Eugene Correia Note: Rajdeep's wife, Sagarika Ghose, also a journalist/anchor, is Bengali.
