I am refering to Julius Cardoso' when I pay I must get money worth. He was
talking about the tiatr of Samy Tavares Amchea bhurgeam santo markgata whIch
I saw in Mapuca and I did not like it. I found the story of this drama and ek
Ghor char vantte a bit similar and comedy the same. The songs were not up to
mark. I have stopped going for tiatrs because I do not find a very good tiatr
to watch. The tiatrists I feel do not practice properly and the script writer
does not take trouble to write his script to the best of his or her ability. I
saw Roseferns two tiatrs. Roseferns was a A grade writer. His previous tiatrs
like arso, Ghantt, and others I do not remember .I found both the tiatrs of
Roseferns not up . His actors are amateurs. His script lack phrases and the
story had no ending .The first one I saw was fuge and the second one was voir
marlolo fator. I saw Padri Mogan podla . I did not find the script too great .
I do not know if I am comparing the tiatrs by Later C Alvares, M Boyer, Remie
colaco, Artidis dias . The tiatrs of these writers were hits because there were
actors like Sabina, Josephine, Conception, Anthony, souza boy, Remie colaco, c
alvares, antonette, Jessie Dias, ophelia, bab Peter. It is high time that tiatr
academy should take up to tiatrs. They should produce their own tiatr. They
should select script writers go through the script, get one or two directors,
get a comedy script written by comedians themselves like comedian Dominic,
Prince Jacob. The senior tiatrist should help junior tiatrist and bring out a
best tiatr at least four or five in a year. There are so many great writers
like Fr.Planton Faria, Fr.Nevelle Gracias, etc etc who can sit together and get
a nice story or ask tiatr academy to float a tiatr writing competition and
select the best five tiatros in a year and then edit these tiatrs to get the
best stage performance. We have so many good directors like C DSilva, and
others who could be roped in to direct the tiatros then have musicians to write
the music and back ground music, and stage settings and a change type of sound
system. will someone help us to do this ? I wished I was a writer.
