Entrance road to Thivim Railway Station to be beautified and illuminated under MPLAD

Mr Shantaram Naik M P visits Thivim Railway Station today and assessed the possibility of beautifying and illuminating the most important stretch of road leading to Thivim Railway Station from the main road , under MPLAD funds.

Mr Naik who was accompanied by congress leader of Thivim Assembly constituency Mr knyaneshwar Kambli, Gurudas Natekar and Vijay Pai, General Secretaries and Secretary of GPCC, President of North Goa District Congress Committee Shri Amarnath Panjekar and others had a discussion with Station Master of Thivim Railway Station Shri Pratap Divkar ,in this regard.

Mr Naik asked Mr Divkar to submit a proposal to him in this regard for his consideration duly prepared by Railway engineer.

Since Thivim is second biggest Railway Station ,next only to Margao, and that, since most of the tourists coming to Goa by Railway get down at Thivim, Mr Naik is of the that the first impression of tourists regarding Goa needs to be positive.

Earlier, addressing congress workers of Thivim constituency at the residence of Shri knyaneshwar Kambli, Congress workers discussed three projects , namely, market complex, development of a sports ground and development of gymkhana club of Thivim.

It was decided that congress leaders of the constituency along with Sarpanch of Thivim should identify a project to be recommended to Mr Naik.
