We just came back from our vacation in Cancun, Mexico! On Dec 11th, 2012. Me
and my wife happened to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World there - the
Pyramid of Chichen Itza built by the Mayans, The Maya temple of Kukulkan in
Chichen Itza, Mexico.

When I saw this Pyramid I was filled with awe just like when I saw the Taj
Mahal.

Silviano,
I am glad that you too were awed with Chichen Itza.

I was so awed that on the top of the pyramid, my wife claims I asked for her
hand. All I remember is looking down from the apex of the pyramid to the lower
building i.e. where they chopped off human heads as a ritual sacrifice and
thinking, "If I do not do it now, I never will."

US citizens, being what they are, had earlier enticed me to visit the site on
the premise that we were going to "Chicken pizza" or something that
sounded similar to that.

I know that they no longer allow tourists on the top of Chicken pizza er,
Chichen Itza any more. Here is what it looks like from the apex.
