CM said at the NDC meeting at New Delhi: Centre has been gaining disproportionate share of mining which was around $ 5 billion in export. Central kilty gets 7000 crore Income, as against 1000 crore by State....... This $ 5 billion export is Rs 27000 crore of which Centre+State govts got Rs 8000 crore....... Now, can the CM answer: 1) Whose pockets did the balance Rs 19,000 crore/year go? 2) Did the Ore belong to the handful miners or the people of Goa? COMMENT: 1: I do not know IF the CM stated the above or even IF the figures are accurate. 2: Even wonder how lucky Goa is for only having Coconut Oil? 3: Any other form, and some more folks would have come forward and told us that they were ALWAYS our cujjin-brothers and sisters. jc
