JC, read this entire message which answers your questions. Your message reference: message number: 1, Dated: Thu, 27 Dec 2012 - Reference: Goanet Digest, Vol 7, Issue number 1069.
I also request Goanet members to read this message in great detail. For cross reference, I've appended JC's recent message to me including all appended messages appended by JC, although they are not complete as is required. Before I answer JC's remark that my post # 227855 is a LIE, little about English Dialect which is JC's favorite weapon! I read and know "British English", "American English", "Australian English". I also know that there exists a gigantic list of dialects of English languages. For the list of English dialects click at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dialects_of_the_English_language Each of the existing English dialects differs in pronunciation; vocabulary, word choices and grammar. About .com gives a list of 10 types of grammar which is interchangeably used by all existing English Dialects: http://grammar.about.com/od/basicsentencegrammar/a/tengrammartypes.htm Considering such a BIG list of dialects of English Languages and the variations involved, I definitely consider 'English Language' to be a DIFFICULT language! JC, always takes benefit of existing variations in English dialects, may be also for self propaganda, by OBFUSCATING (hiding intended meaning in your communication, making communication confusing with your stupid responses and or comments, dragging in points/personalities/ organization names which has no relevance to subject in question, willfully remaining ambiguous, and harder to interpret.) his mails to Goanet. But, JC never forgets to highlight and pass remarks over English mistakes of selected members (that includes me) even if they are typo mistakes! In case of such mistakes or even worst mistakes of other members he prefers to be silent! Most importantly, JC never writes on the subject under discussion but always prefers to twist the subject by raising 'n' number of unwanted, unrelated comments/queries/questions! To confirm what I have written herein above, members of Goanet can check all postings of JC's (including Jose Colaco, J. Colaco, Dr. Jose Colaco) In present situation too, instead of replying to subject under discussion, JC preferred to raise 8 comments which are unrelated and unwanted. Surprisingly, in his 8th comment he dragged the name of Goa Foundation! Can JC give any justifications for all these things you did and doing? But this is not my tendency. I write what I feel right and straight forward! Most importantly, I believe, by writing to forums like Goanet no member can make self propaganda or get any fame has JC says! Writing to forums is only exchange of views of a person on a SPECIFIC SUBJECT under discussion without dragging in unwanted, unrelated subject(s). And I think most Goanet members believe and do the same. Professional forums are totally different game ball. In such forums self propaganda, getting name and fame is most likely. YES I do understand the meaning of Kangress and I also comprehend JC too understand the meaning of Kangresss. I admit I don't know what is meant by 'Hacktivists'! Will JC explain the meaning of SLANG word 'Hacktivists' used / tossed by him? REGARDING my post # 227855, I don't know which post JC is talking about as I receive Goanet mails in the form of Goanet Digest and not individualized messages like probably JC is receiving as per his request. Hence I have no means to track which mail JC is talking about. Will JC, provide me the link of my post # 227855 either from Goanet Digest or from individual mail list. Thereafter, I'll prove who is LIAR - JC or me! I ACCEPT JC's CHALLENGE on this issue! JC, GOA's self styled & self practicing HISTORIAN of Goa, writes volumes about Goa's what, when, where, including commenting on Goans like Dayanand Bandodkar (first CM of Goa) etc. hence I presume I need not provided JC with details about how many years Kangress ruled Goa! He must know this!! And if JC now say that he don't know about this detail I'll be compelled to presume JC to be not Goan and that whatever JC writes or have written about Goa and that about Goans so far are only Atypical TAVERNA GOSSIPS! While concluding the message JC writes following text with a prefix (BTW): 'If Dr. Barad says that the Congress Party has been corrupt in Goa, and others state that the BJP has been both corrupt and communal, I begin to wonder again whether Ole_Xac isn't actually right.' My BTW: Instead of writing unwanted and unrelated responses / messages to Goanet, JC must keep wondering lifelong on what I say and what others state about Goa and Goanet till he finds right answer for himself! Practicing this way will prove healthier for JC!! Best regards, U. G. Barad JC WROTE TO ME: Message: 1 Date: Thu, 27 Dec 2012 09:40:54 -0500 From: Jose Colaco <[email protected]> To: "Goa's premiere mailing list, estb. 1994!" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Goanet] Ban tourism in Goa? Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii On Dec 25, 2012, at 12:31 AM, "U. G. Barad" <[email protected]: Exchange of messages between JC & me are appended herein below. My reply to his resent message is given below his comments: It is possible that English is a difficult language, and also that obfuscation is the best form of propaganda. So, let me simplify this into parts for the chap who understands the meaning of Kangress but not of Hacktivists. 1: Dr. Barad's post # 227855 is a LIE. He now has the opportunity to prove me wrong by providing the evidence. 2: Dr. Barad is also invited to indicate WHICH 30-35 years post Goa's annexation, were ruled by the Congress Party. Once we get over these inaccuracies that Dr. Barad appears to specialise in, we can move fwd to the others. BTW: If Dr. Barad says that the Congress Party has been corrupt in Goa, and others state that the BJP has been both corrupt and communal, I begin to wonder again whether Ole_Xac isn't actually right. jc JC APPENDED FOLLOWING TEXT TO ABOVE MESSAGE: 1: whether an NGO, GPO or PTO demands or not, there is a primary responsibility for the Govt to be transparent. For, the money Govt spends is public money, not that of any NGO. I always hear fund disbursement to "any cause" by any minister, of any party, as if it is giving out from their pocket! Churchill is classic example! And I also read Medias supporting this claim! What is true in Goa is also true at center and in every other state of India!! 2: this demand that NGOs "come clean first" is partisan nonsense. It may be nonsense to YOU but is "of concern to me" and to most other educated Goans!! Why should educated Goans not demand / expect transparency in the money donated to NGOs for particular causes? After all it is their money which is donated by someone else (government). (You have already accepted this in your comment number 1 !!) 3: on a related point of transparency, political parties as well as NGOs must declare their funding. What was I writing all this time? You have tendency to take one point(s) and just go on firing your responses (e.g. 1------n numbers) without any relevance! May be you have enough free time at your disposal to do such things!! 4: in order to level the playing field, the law sides with the weaker entity. Hence, in this case, as far as Goa is concerned, the BJP should go first. Entire India is suffering/suffered for past 45 yester (out of 65 years) and GOA suffered for past 30 - 35 years (out of 50 years) only because of weaker, corrupt entity i.e. "Kangress Party" ruling India / Goa respectively!!! With this statement will you now jump up or bang your head down? 5: doubt Dr Barad will be jumping up and down demanding that the BJP discloses its funding FIRST. I have already answered this question to you, and you are still asking me this! Can I presume from this that you either forgot English or your changed day styles make you forget relevant point or maybe you are doing this only to drag exchanges / messages on and on? Well, you might have plenty free time to do this, but I just don't have that much time as you have! For your information I'm not a member of any political party in Goa'. Secondly and most importantly, why don't you ask this relevant question to your best loved Manohar Parikar directly? Had you asked your pertinent question to your earlier best friend Digamber Kamat and Pratapsingh Rane on this issue any time in the past? If yes, what did they replied you? 6: whatever happened to the Hacktivists who were organising mochas and drawing competitions? I did not understand what you meant by "Hacktivists", hence no comment. 7: should the Hacktivists also be required to disclose the sources of their funding? I did not understand what you meant by "Hacktivists", hence no comment. 8: or should it ONLY be the Goa Foundation ...... which is (presently) causing the anti-Kangress ... some inconvenience? Why don't you write directly to Goa Foundation and get the answers you want? This I say because I never brought the name of "Goa Foundation" in my massaging nor I'm a member of that foundation nor till date I've given a single rupee as donation!! Best regards, U. G. Barad In reply to my message (both messages are appended below) J C wrote: "If NGOs demand transparency from Government, they themselves should Be clean FIRST". This starting line of JC explains everything. Secondly, "jumping up and down" in present India including Goa makes No sense! Thirdly, JC has not responded anything about the actual "Subject" line that is written by me!!! In fact he has diverted the subject!!!!! Best regards, U. G. Barad My message was: The article in Outlook on tourism in Goa was referred to on this list.? The link is: http://www.outlookindia.com/article.aspx?283317 It would seem that tourism in Goa is causing a lot of harm to the state.? Though not on the scale of mining, I wonder if there is a need to ban tourism, at least temporarily, until the impact is properly studied.? Such a study would indicate what needs to be done so as to reduce further potential damage, and give the environment a chance to recover from the past.? After that the ban could be lifted, with whatever conditions the body undertaking the study would recommend. Best regards, U. G. Barad
