Dear Bernado, If it is by an accident of history that Goans are now Indian (or bharatis, as you prefer to call us, rather contemptuously), by the same logic it was also an accident of history that made some of us think we were Portuguese. Since the accident of 1961 came after the accident of 1510, I'm afraid that the period from 1962 onwards represents the current reality. Wake up! Salazar is dead. Even Pide is dead.
