As I said at the end of my last submission, "I rest my case". I do believe that any further pursuit of this subject would prove boring to other Goanetters, and this must, therefore, be my final contribution .
Any study of Government reveals how complex, subtle and nuanced governmental relationships are and cannot be reduced to simplistic lowest common denominator terms. I would be delighted to read, and indeed to respond to, a considered, coherent discourse on any subject that I know something about, rather than a random collection of often spurious statements and extracts from constitutional documents, that present formal positions rather than reality. In departing, I would reiterate my my challenge to "anyone with sufficient knowledge of Zanzibar in colonial times to convince me that the British administration there was capable to taking any action or institute any measure that the Sultan objected to!" as I have yet to receive a cogent response to that.
