In deed Deussua Village shows the way. If all of Goa's Villages and Wards
follow suit, the movement/s for SPECIAL STATUS FOR GOA will be rendered
REDUNDANT where Goa will not have to fall to the feet of NEW DELHI and
INDIA'S PARLIAMENT to beg for what GOA should have gotten on it's own
accord and/or to do us GOANS a bloody favour, Nehru's Promises or not,
Portugal signing Co-operation Treaty with India without taking GOANS into
confidence or NOT.

Deussua village shows the way
The menace of migrants in the village is being tackled by the initiative
of
the Chaplain of St Anthony`s chapel, Dessua in Chinchinim Village The
support of the people is voluntary, so that all migrants staying anywhere
in the ward of Deussua will have to be given notice to vacate within one
month. Only those tenants , who are working for the owner alone are
exempted from the decision Any one staying in the rented premises and
working outside the area will be affected. Some consideration is given for
the family, whose children are students.
The decision is unanimous and is not forced on them. Almost all the
villagers attended the meeting in unison, on Sunday, 27.Jan at the chapel
premises. People have been cautioned that for a mere income by renting
premises, they are exposing themselves to greater danger to their own
families and others in the ward
The recent bloody heist in Chinchinim Forex outlet has hastened the real
concerns
It may be noted that a similar decision was taken by the Tolleaband
residents of Chinchinim some 6 years back and no rented premises are
occupied by any migrants
It is hoped that the wards of Dandeavado, Mingfoll, Sarzora and Dramapur
will take similar decision and avoid unpredictable, dangerous incidents
