Sirs, I was surprised and taken aback to note through Rajan Parrikars photo of the developers billboard, that the speculating developers are about to desecrate the beautiful Chorao area which up till now has been somewhat comparatively pristine. Has there been no reaction from the residents? When I was in Chorao quite a few years ago, I was contemplating buying one of the original houses, renovating it and spending the rest of my live in this quite part of Goa. No bridge meant no intrusion. I guess to obtain planning permission, in Goa, the developer only has to grease the palm of some greedy politician or panchayat member and 'voila' its done! It appears that no part of Goa is sacrosanct anymore! Sad..................... Con
