On 16th February Screening of:
"Dharma Dollies"duration 57minutes, which is about young
professional women looking to believe in quick- fix miracles.
"Rajas of the Burning Ghats"duration 28 minutes is about the
celebration of death in the oldest cremation grounds in Benaras, the domain of
the Dom Rajas. It is believed that Lord Shiva himself gave the Sacred fire for
Cremation only to the Dom Raja & his clan.
On 17th February Screening of:
“Tracking the Jangams at the Mahakumbh”we follow
the Jangams, traditional singing bards believed to be born from Lord Shiva's
thigh, dressed in elaborate peacock feathered turbans as they wind their way
through the sadhu akharas & other myriad happenings along the holy Ganges.
“The Dishum Dishum Man” The film explores the
world of stuntmen of Bollywood through the eyes of Mahendra Verma, the son of
Bollywood's first stuntman.
“Tirupati - A Karmic Debt” This temple receives an
annual income of approximately Rs.419 crores (US $ 78772000/-) through daily
offerings, making it the richest Hindu temple in the world. The film follows
one of its avenues of income -Human hair, known as black gold, that is
auctioned every year by the temple.
