Introduction: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar says that liberal Muslims should come together to educate people and correct the mind set of people like Akbaruddin Owaisi. Sri Sri also adds that religion based universities is not good for the country. Comment: Clearly the sant samaj of Hinduism is very much concerned about the day-to-day happenings in our country. They have a view on what they think is important, and they also have a view on how to go about solving the problems. They are not always influenced by the politically correct views that are often projected in the media and other outlets which are supposed to enable the people to form opinions. Transcription The question posed is: What do you say about Akbar Owaisi in Hyderabad? He has just indicated a dangerous mindset in some people in this country. He is not a single voice, and what is shocking is the applaud he received from the public as though he is echoing the voice of those people. These are misinformed, misguided mindsets. The community should not live in isolation where they find the other as an enemy. That is why I am so much against the religion based universities where they promote only one mindset and there is no liberal and open mindedness. But the government for the sake of vote-bank, they start promoting such universities. This is not good for the country. And who can correct them? No laws, nobody else. Hindus cannot tell anything to Owaisi or people like him. Who can correct Owaisi type people? Not the laws, not the police. If he is put in jail, he will become a hero for his own people. There are liberal Muslims who should go and educate the people of their own community, and set their mindset right. Liberal Muslims cannot sit in their own drawing rooms. They should go out and talk, and correct the mindsets of the people of their own community.
