If all goes well, we should soon have copies of the following copyright-expired books back in print:
* *Influence of Portuguese Vocables in Asiatic Languages* (Dalgado, translated into English). Very fascinating. You would have surely heard of this. Some version is available on the Net for a free download. Dalgado studies the influence Portuguese has had on a number of Asian languages. * *The Goan Cook's Guide*. Interesting rendering of international recipes in Romi Konkani done early in the last century. A kind of guide, I guess, for those wanting to improve their job prospects on the cullinary front. * *Bombay Mission History*. * *Bible in India* -- Hooper. Talks about the Bible in different languages in India. I loant copies of these volumes to Leonard Fernandes of Margao (with a promise that I would personally murder him if they went unreturned). As you might know, Leonard has the means, tools and technology to print-on-demand books... and copyright-expired books can ideally be reproduced using this method. If you have any other copyright-expired books that can be recreated as print-on-demand copies, please share it with Leonard of Cinnamon Teal. [email protected] To my mind, this is a good way of keeping old books in circulation, and making them easily available (even if at a price).
