A small correction to the narrative......it was not Wing Commander Clarence D'Souza, but Wing Commander Clarence D'Lima. Clarence was the pilot for Prime Minister Morarji Desai. He was my first cousin. He sacrificed his life to save that of the Prime Minister when he had to make a forced landing of the YAK Russian aircraft in Jorhat, Assam in 1977.
