The Goa Su-Raj Party is happy that the Governor of Goa Mr. Bharat Vir Wanchoo has returned the Goa Lokayukta (First Amendment) Bill (No.3) of 2013 back to the Goa Legislative Assembly for reconsideration of Section 16A (5) and Section 19(1) which sections if allowed would make the Lokayukta Bill useless and counter-productive in controlling Corruption prevalent in the Government. The returning of the Bill to the Goa Legislative Assembly proves that such draconian and counter-productive Legislations framed by the Government are not appreciated in a 'Democracy' which must not only work, but be seen to work and that the people at large have a say in the matter in it's working, besides being a complete set-back to Mr. Manohar Parrikar's administration.
