Ana Maria Ferneneds must be challenged when she wrongly states that the life of
Jesus was a quiet one shunning publicity. Jesus was the person who created the
most tension and turmoil in the world during his short but eventful life, and
he has not finished his work even to this day still controversial as ever. It
first starts with his getting lost in Jerusalem and being found in the temple
challenging the authorities as to their interpretation of the word. Hardly a
quiet person. He then preached in the temples a contrary creed to what the
Jewish Scribes and Phaisees did. Is this a quiet person? Then he drove the
vendors and money changers out of the temple. Hardly a meek and humble quiet
Jesus. It is precisely for his defiance and his ability to challenge and argue
about the right and wrong attitudes of the Jews that made the hierarchy of the
day seek to destroy him and the reason he was crucified and died. Hardly a
quiet Jesus. We too must challenge the wrongful deeds of those in power
emulation the example of the Good Lord in fighting for our rights and the
rights of the downtrodden in order to make an impact and realize meaningful
change which will be felt by all the erstwhile people of Goa who have been meek
and mild for far too long. Let us be like Christ and fight for what is right in
our society by exposing and challenging what isn't. This is the only way we can
achieve fairness in our society and indeed in the world. Follow the Lord's
example and never fear the truth and eventually the truth will prevail. Fight
for what is right and defend the rights and aspirations of those who due to no
fault of their own are denied fairness and justice. JESUS WILL SURELY LIKE
THAT. Us following his right and narrow path.

As for the priests, we all know how hypocritical they are. Outwardly portraying
humility while inwardly harboring grudges and injustices and being loud mouthed
about their piety too. After all, they are human and who bestowed any divinity
to them? There are but a few in the world who can be rightly called true
followers of the Lord. Our Pope Francis seems to be one of those rare souls.
Let us hope that he will guide the Church towards a more humane and divine
institution and that we will then have priests who truly reflect the image of
the Lord whom they profess to emulate. For them we should hold the attitude
that Christ had FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO.
