The Church in Goa, with all it's influencing parameters as a powerful
minority is responsible for the situation at hand.
For long, it walked hand in hand with the CORRUPT and totally irresponsible
governments of the CONGRESS. Having been put in an embarrassing position
with CONGRESS crossing all sensible limits on commonplace corruption,
attending to everything else except basic governance, the Church's biggest
mistake was to embrace the BJP as an alternative, along with the mascot of
GOA's activism, late Matanhy Saldanha, and being happy about it as if it had
abandoned the capability to spot a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Now, the Church wants the BJP to prove it's SECULAR CREDENTIALS and show
itself into a lamb?
Maybe the Church expects the IIT'an Metallurgist Goa's CM to churn out these
credentials from a mettalurgical blast furnace?? which is basically run on
the fires of communalism???
Perhaps, the Church will be wise enough to go back to the drawing board to
find out an altogether new alternative for Goa's political mess, which
alternative it should have fostered long long ago as an indegenous homegrown
alternative, putting and end to Goa's reliance on the corrupt and communal
national parties from across the borders. It can, still do so, if it is
willing to use magnifying glasses to spot a suitable amoeba that has the
genes and the capacity to multiply itself and rise up to the occasion to be
fair and square to simple basic needs of governance without fear or favour
and without needing to hold hands with the burnt out superficial
politicians but which is willing to fry them all the more by turning them
over on the frying pan of justice for their sins of ommission and
commission.
Hopefully, the magnifying glasses that the Church in Goa will need for such
an exercise are available for sale in Goa with suitable willing 'eyes' that
can probe the expanse to settle on something of a jewel that will make GOA
AND GOANS PROUD come 2017.
