Dear V, Most of what you write about Lusitania, Lusitanians (hockey) and the gleam that the very names Lusitanians & Goan Sports and the teams themselves would bring to 'our' parentals-generation (as you too have noted) makes me wonder : What was Valerian Cardinal Gracias about? Three additional points: 1: Lusitanians were the 'originals' whose language may have been Indo-European. They were eventually overcome by the Romans. 2: Lusitania is the name of the Roman province which included part of modern day Spain. 3: Modern day Portugal speaks several languages, some of which are losing speakers.
