Then he took the stage (unplanned) and spoke about 2 minutes. - He said (jokingly) Lorna’s popularity made him jealous of her. - Amongst the Goans, ‘Xasticars’ are the most lovable /friendly people contrary to what he thought through some media feedback - Some are dreaming of becoming MLAs in 6 months but the present ones with be back here on Stage for next four years. The same lovable people when angry sent them (dreamers) home along with their family. (No prize to guess who he was talking about) - Next year you can expect the Sao Joao Celebrations here even bigger than this.

Half of gathered there could be on complimentary passes and the volunteers. Entry was Rs.200 per head (inclusive of a couple worth Rs.200). Coupon can be used to buy hot and soft drinks e.g. whisky, rum, beer, water etc (Beer half bot Rs.50, Water bottles (2) for Rs.50 etc (see pic). When it comes to eating, there was not a single item to eat which would cost Rs.200 or less. We went to the counter, Can we have something to eat worth these coupons? ‘No, but each one of you will have to pay Rs.100 extra to join buffet table’ (buffet worth Rs.300 per head). What do we do with the coupons now? Two of us bought one pint of beer each and another bought 2 bottles of water. Remaining coupons we gave to the members of the brass band and told them to have beer in the true spirit of Sao Joao.
