VISION DOCUMENT BY BJP It is difficult and unfair to speculate before the vision document is made public. Is it wrong for any party to make image change over.? It is equally true that image make over is a long time goal and cannot be achieved so swiftly. Why the Congress is claiming special privilege as the saviour of minorities. Their 6 decades in power have not made a dent in the life of the minorities appreciably, as the emphasis is always at the doorstep of elections
Can the BJP address its core issues and change their basic character like Gujarat riots of 2002, Building Ram Temple. anti conversions stand and demolition of Babri Masjid, uniform civil code repeal of art,370, The BJP have failed to appease the majority and now wants to woe the minorities to come to power No apology is being offered for the massacre of Muslims .The BJP is seriously concerned about the perceived image and aiming to correct this perception. It aims at empowering the minorities It has not given a single ticket to Muslims in Gujarat and boast of 35% of Muslim vote which has catapulted in power . Have the Muslims have been ordered into submission in Gujarat ?It makes a bone of contention of 250,Muslims in Zilla Parishad elections and 8 MLA`s winning in Goa with BJP support Rajnath Singh said in 2006 that minorities will end by 2016 is to be watched .That is the barometer of their secular credentials They pronounce that not a single riots has been registered in Gujarat since 2002, in comparison with Congress ruled state and specially in U.P., where the law and order problem has reached its lowest point They argue that Ram Mandir will be built only with consensus and under the direction of S.C. It accuses Congress of exploiting secularism to drum up support to win elections The problems that are faced by the majority Hindus are not different to those faced by the minorities, The aspirations should not be mocked and jeered, as it is rooted in the constitution. The past utterances of BJP regarding religious minorities do not inspire any confidence The tokenism of not wearing the cap is stretched to limits as a sign of deep rooted antagonism and hatred The Congress is tearing into the hypocrisy of BJP trying to empower the minorities through the so called vision document and make inroads into the secular turf, which was their forte The repeal of article 370 and uniform civil code will empower the minorities? People aren ot confused but amused at the gimmicks of the political parties to win their allegiance
