Our reader Ana Maria raises interesting but thouhght provoking questions. To-day people read EVERYTHING except the Bible. Some people to market their spiritual "products" [including christians and yogis] add and take away bible chapters - distort truth and mess the Bible.
Jesus was a HISTORICAL figure, he chopped the history in two pieces, our friend Steve Jobbs (sic) took only one bite of his "apple" and went to purgatory, or heaven or hell or is somewhere waiting to find a "body" back to earth. Satan, enticed Eve to bite the apple, someone quipped that she bit it and mooched silly Adam and shoved that contaminated piece of lethal fruit into Adam. Hence we have today, Adam and Steve. People seem "happy and gay"> We have Joe's witnesses, (JW) RC padris, Protestants [wonder what they are protesting]. Historians, archeologistsempty humpties and dumbties. "Who am I?" "Where I am going?" "Why am I here?" Ask then can simply answer these and other questions? Do I need a casket or a cassock? The Bible [the written word of God] gives us the answers. Ask those in the seminary if they have EVER read the Bible ONCE at least in their entire lives. Some people mock this book, others use it to swear or take an oath, still others add to it or remove verses. The Bible is a LIVING book. It is about the LIVING WORD (logos) of God, the Historical Jesus. The One who is ETERNAL and as promised in the Old Testament CAME. And after His death and resurection He RULES. But this "rule" comes into any individual if she/he in sincerety and faith let's the Son of God to come inside our lives. He will NOT force Himself, He is a Divine Gentlemen and Lord of Lords. Keep your cacophony and "church history" and grab the book His-Story...read for yourself. Get saved, and bury your religion. And if the local cassock boy does not bury you, That is not your problem, let the Municipality or the Panchayat or the GMC baboos dispose it. Petra
