Hi Gilbert, I'm no expert here, but I think the division of history on
clear-cut lines of "Hindu" and "Muslim" and the British (note, they
conveniently didn't describe themselves in religious terms!) is being
debated and questioned now. This is perhaps part of the wider
'communalising' of our history. FN
