Absolutely right. though we are baptised christians we are still left with out old traditional beliefs. How many of us put liquor bottles, cigerettes in the coffin of the dead ? how many of us give bikareamchem jevon more because to give solace to the dead and before we start the jevon we keep plates made of jackfruit leaves outside the house for the crows . and other birds to eat. Believing in hundred Marys itself is a pagan belief. The statue of hundred mary's have no life to answer our prayers. We burn incense, candles, put flowers and pour oil all these are pagan belief. Many of us believe that there is someone on the xhim of each and every village and he roams round at night. We believe in lots of things which make us slaves. We are slave to our emotions and feeling and thinking. Many of the catholics still believe that valankani saibin is powerful and that Mother Mary has six sisters and one brother and what not. We believe that water blessed by the priest becomes holy etc etc. Many times our priest shout that believers do not belive in Mary. can I ask you one question " in what way do you believe in Mary ? " Do you know who this Mary is ? She is an ordinary human being sewlected by God the Father to be the mother of Jesus. Mary has two things to tell you. 1. She obeyed God and said yes to God's plan. 2. She showed concerned to others . Two instances are mentioned in the bible one is she ran to help her sister Elizabeth and two she asked Jesus to make water into wine. We do not have both these. we have no right to shout " Mary Mary or boast about your belief. If we did the will of God then God told us to increase and multiple. Our world would have been a better place to live and our children would have become the jewels of your life but your selfishness and greed has made you short sighted and you have brought only one or may be two children and brought them up very badly. Giving money to your children does not make them happy. they need love. 2. Catholics are selfish race. they do not care for their spouses or their parents and dump them in homes for aged. they do not love their children and do not make time for them and give them motorcycle, money and mobile and make them goondas of the shat treet. it is not their fault. they are nice. Once I stopped a high school boy riding furiously on the road and told him very nicely. "Baba do you know that you have a future ? yes aunty. then why are you driving so fast you want to die ? you know what he told me " Why should I live " who wants me to live " my parents do not even know that I exist. I told him baba I want you to live and I love you. Three months have passed I meet thier s boy everyday after school. I make it a point to wait for him and talk to him. do you know one thing ? the boy has stopped using his motor bike . he is so happpy. today he came to my house with a rose in his hand.
