Subject: Request for Contribution for Fr. Tony (Pe. Thomas Aquino)
To:

Dear friends and well-wishers,

This is in regard to a dedicated priest who became dear to everyone who came
in contact with him. Rev. Fr. Thomas Sequeira was a friend to all, old and
young alike, irrespective of color or creed. He was known in the US, Goa,
Mumbai,Delhi, Portugal and Rome and wasalso fondly called Padre Tomas d’Aquino
or even Fr. Tony.

Fr. Tomas d’Aquino was avery dynamic and talented priest with muchcharisma.
He was a scripture scholar and a church historian belonging to thediocese of
Goa, India. Atpresent, he was on a studymission working on a Doctoratein
Theology, at Berkeley, United States while helping in St. Bernard’s
CatholicChurch, Tracy California since August 2012.

However, in July 2013 he was diagnosed with an advanced stage of
coloncancer. He immediately underwentan emergency operation and then had to
face an agonizing battle for life which he did with a lot of cheer and total
resignation to the Lord. Toadd to it, he had to bear thesad news of the death
of his 92year old mother on August 18, 2013. On September 09, 2013 at around
1:20 pm local time, the end embraced him and he left us literally with a warm
smile on his face that sent shivers of sadnessall over the world to each and
every who knew him.

During thetwo months of his sickness, Msgr. Ivo Rocha and Sr. Cecelia D’Mello
of StBernard’s Catholic Church, Tracy, California looked after all of his
physical andspiritual needs; to whom weextend our warm and sincere gratitude.
Our sincere thanks also goes to theparishioners that includesdoctors, nurses,
therapists, etc. for extending their support by cheering himwith their around
the clockvisits in shifts to assure Fr. Tony was never alone, and their
constant prayer services.

As atribute of our love for Fr. Tomas d’Aquino and gratitude to Msgr. Ivo and
Sr.Cecelia and the congregation of Tracy for handling his care with extreme
dedication, some of Fr. Tomas’friends and well wishers, have sent contributions
with an intention to easesome of the unforeseen financialburden that have
cropped up during this brief period.
In thisrespect, we appeal to the well-wishers and friends of Fr. Thomas
d’Aquino tokindly contribute freely and voluntarily to help with the expenses
oftransporting his body back to Goa to beburied as per his wishes.

Contributions/donations may be made as follows:

Acheck made out to Sr. CeciliaD’ Mello should be mailed to: Maria Carvalho,
14708 Day Break Drive, LUTZ,FL 33559. Please make surethat you write in the
memo line “For Fr. Thomas D’Aquino Sequeira”.

This support to help with the expenses of FatherTony will indeed go along way
to express our solidarity, gratitude and appreciation to Msgr. IvoRocha, Sr.
Cecelia D’Mello and the Catholic Congregation of Tracy. If youknow of Fr.
Thomas Sequeira’s friends or acquaintances, please forward thisemail.

Anyamount collected in excess of thefuneral/travel expences will be handed
over to Msgr. Ivo Rocha in thename of Fr. Thomas for his various
communityprojects at St. Bernard’s Church. Msgr. Ivo will decide how it
shouldbest be used.
