President ,Higher Secondary Teachers Assiciation, Margao, House No 137, Near Swami Math, Gogol, MARGAO 403 601 2759555 Mob- 9823458875 20th October, 2013 *PRESS NOTE* * * * Mrs Beena S.Naik, teacher of the Ramcrina Mahadev Salgaocar Higher Secondary School, was today unanimously elected as President of Higher Secondary Teachers’ Association in a meeting of the General Body held at Margao on Sunday.* * Mrs Nelly Rodrigues of MES, Zuarinagar and President of South Goa Zilla Panchayat, Shri Dilip Dhargalkar of St Xavier Higher Secondary School , Mapuca and Pradeep K.Naik of Chandrabhaga Tukoba Naik Higher Secondary School , were elected as Vice-presidents. * * Mr. Sripad N.Bhat of Chandrabhaga Tukoba Naik Higher Secondary School, Curchorem was elected as General Secretary and Shri R.S. Pisurlekar of Purshottam Walaulikar Higher Secondary School, was elected as Treasurer. Mrs Anita Desai of Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Sancoale and Mr Kiran L. Kummor o Shri Damodar Higher Secondary School , Margao, were elected as Jt Secretaries. .* *The meeting was presided over by Shri Girish Chodankar , who expressed his desire to be relieved of the post in view of his other engagements in Goa and Delhi.* * The General Body decided to approach the 7th Pay Commission in advance to get the pay scales of the Higher Secondary School Teacher fixed in a rational manner without leaving unfair gap between the teacher of Higher Secondary and College Teachers. A copy of the Memorandum will be submitted to the Goa Government so that, the State Government too, takes up the case with the Pay Commission .* * General Body also decided to pursue further, the case of Smt Parvatibai Chowgule College ,Higher Secondary Section with appropriate authorities.* * * *BEENA S.
