I don't care whether the dead Nigerian was a drug peddler or not, but the one thing I know is that he too was a human being like us, and, therefore, this government should have told the Goa police to take immediate action against the killers of the said victim and difuse the situation. Unfortunately, instead of assuring or giving them immediate justice, it was sad to see the attitude of our chief minister Manohar Prrikar, local MLA Rohan Khaunte, local media, police and even locals charging fericiously and finally bashing those poor Nigerians like guinea pigs at Porvorim. Of course, the whole world knows that some Nigerians are indeed coming here in Goa on a student visa and indulging in all types of illegal activities, especially drugs. Why is the current government and some Opposition suddenly raising their voices against the menace and are even talking of deporting these Nigerians back to their country immediately only after this unfortunate incident? I think that we Goans, by violently attacking the poor agitating Nigerians at Porvorim, in collaboration with the police and enjoying seeing their blood-stained faces on TV and newspapers, have clearly shown the world that we are indeed the most racist people on earth.
