A Bombay icon, founder owner and teacher of the J J Rodriguez school of Dance
passed away at 88.

No social or other Bombayite could plead ignorance of the existence of this
dance studio located at a prominent and bustling, once exclusive shopping and
residential area of Colaba.

Though most Goans being natural dancers had no need of being coached in dance
schools, he drew more than enough Parsis, Gujaratis and other rich communities
of the city to make more than just a decent living.

His old school attention to detail and style with his gentle manner, did not
get him a Padma Shri like cooking legend Tarla Dalal who also died the same day
at 77, but his name will always be legend in the Bombaycar's heart.

Google todays Midday and read an interesting tribute to him.

Roland.
