Parshuram Hari Sankpal, an engineering assistant with Doordarshan Kendra at Panaji has been booked for cheating by the Panaji Police.
Acting on a complaint filed by Panaji based used car dealer Tanoj Sawant, the Panaji police have registered an F.I.R under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code against Parshuram Sankpal. According to the complaint the accused Parshuram Sankpal induced Tanoj Sawant to sell him for Rs 10 lakhs a Honda CRV bearing registration No GA-06-D-2347 in exchange for his Rs 16, 60,000 flat at Eesha Housing Society in Socorro at Porvorim. Parshuram Sankpal further got Tanoj Sawant to pay Rs 6, 60, 00 which was the outstanding bank loan on the flat. Parshuram Sankpal later transferred the CRV vehicle in his name but refused to transfer the flat in the name of Tanoj Sawant thus cheating him to the tune of Rs16, 60,000. Police Sub Inspector Baban Pawar is investigating the case under the supervision of Panaji Police Inspector Rajendra Prabhudesai.
