SACHIN ,SACHIN………… It was one of the greatest sports spectacle that will not be seen for a very long , long time to come. The farewell to Sachin was unprecedented, unmatched in the sunset years of his illustrious career .He never worked for it . nor expected the scale and magnitude of celebration well planned and well intended
There were voices of dissent that he should have stepped down , when he was having a lean patch , and when he was on the top as his usual self .Sachinmade his decision at the right time, depending upon the voice of his own heart. Now everyone wished that he stayed a little longer, because so much cricket is still left in him, the way he displayed his characteristics strokes. He will not oblige anymore in International cricket, though he may still show his presence in the world of cricket,. He first stopped playing T20, then gave up ODI and finally brought the curtain down on Test cricket Praise and adulation's are best done when one is alive, not waiting to write on tombstone, for he will not see or hear it then and this has rightly happened to Sachin, as an encouragement , recognition and appreciation It was a most touching farewell for a well-deserved career in sports spanning over 24 years. The galaxy of spectators, voluntarily watching him play for the one last time , is in itself a crowning glory,a fitting tribute, reserved for the little master. When he was nominated for the Raja Sabha seat, some where not happy and had their own reservations, but Sachin maintained his dignity in silence and did not react or defend his merits, Fortunately the sudden decision to honour him has been whole heartedly applauded by one and all .It is indeed the best the grateful Nation could do to cap his glorious career . Sachin has been really a un named Ambassador for India in the world of sports, His fame and achievements in cricket has touched people all over the world and earned the respect of worlds geatest cricket names Sachin has broken records in his career and would be happy if an Indian surpasses them. Sachin is a paragon of simplicity and humility. Calling him God of cricket, Master blaster was not a heady mix for him. His unbelievable records, his fame, popularity, advertisement revenues did not make him otherwise, as one would expect naturally He endeared to all and made his lasting relations with his colleagues, captains, Match officials and cricket board members. He has equally bonded with all his near and dear family members , always showed signs of gratitude,and has been nostalgic about their roles. He never argued about his dismissals or showed any signs of resentment, sledging, instead he coolly walked back to the pavilion, respecting the decisions maintaining his dignity, honour even in defeat .His farewell speech did not omit any one for his ascendancy to great heights of excellence in sports, but recognised and attributed effusively their gracious contributions The argument that he started at a young age cannot rob him of his excellent performance, which has been consistent and praise worthy He was attached and devoted to his game that he gave his very best, even at critical moments in his life .He was touched by unexpected send off by all sections of the game, His charity is not publicised, but is to be appreciated as his contributions and payback to the society A Sachin without cricket and cricket without Sachin are unthinkable for a long time to come.
