In some ways, yes, but manageable.  Ie, after some branches/merges, you get a
lot of experience on what can go wrong (and how to fix it), like most other
things in life.

Branching/merging in Subversion is *very* easy, from my experiences.  What's
the expected transition date, if there is any?  Right after 013?
