I will like to add that Adding a "minimal" and "minimal-nodev" profile
to the installer will be helpful in case you want to deploy a
appliance/server, like starting from gentoo stage3 with just compiler
and a booting/stable system, and use InstallPackage with prebuilt
packages (in case of the nodev environment) or Compile if you want all
the compiler stuff.

Sounds reasonable?

I know Gobo design aims more "user" interaction, but been using stock
Gobo 013 (and since 006 days too) as server mostly without regrets.
