IDK the reason for this either, having not looked into.  Hopefully
someone who knows will explain it :)

The issue definitely seems to happen though after recompiling the same
kernel in place of an already compiled kernel.  If you check in
/System/Kernel/Modules/$(uname -r) you'll find a recursive link
pointing back to /System/Kernel/Modules/$(uname -r).  This link
appears to only be created during the recompile and if you remove it
before running Compile the error seems to disappear temporarily, but
running it again will create the error again.
