I have to reimplement it anyway to deal with the hopefully forthcoming
Compile changes (passing around opaque strings just doesn't quite cut
it any more), so I might as well use the same code as the rest of the
system wherever I can and share as much as possible with Manager.
Maintaining two codebases to do the same thing doesn't gain much, and
this way should benefit both programs, and the end users too. I
explained a little more in my other message and during the meeting
earlier.
