I'm trying to get the official NetworkManager package to run.
I upgraded HAL and DBus according to the dependencies, and installed
DHCDBD, etc..

Running NetworkManager --no-daemon starts printing lots of messages and
eats all CPU, killing it shows:

...
NetworkManager: <WARN>  nm_signal_handler(): Caught signal 2, shutting
down normally.
NetworkManager: <info> Activation (eth0) Stage 3 of 5 (IP Configure
Start) scheduled.
NetworkManager: <info>  Activation (eth0) Stage 2 of 5 (Device
Configure) complete.
NetworkManager: <info> Activation (eth0) Stage 3 of 5 (IP Configure
Start) started...
NetworkManager: <info>  Caught terminiation signal
NetworkManager: <WARN>  nm_dhcp_manager_begin_transaction(): dhcdbd not
running!
NetworkManager: <info> Activation (eth0) failure scheduled...

Trying to start dhcdbd --system --no-daemon says:

process 19967: Applications must not close shared connections - see
dbus_connection_close() docs. This is a bug in the application.
  D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
zsh: abort      dhcdbd --system --no-daemon

I do have the new dbus-daemon --system and hald running..
