Hi all, So, since gobo.calica.com appears to be down for the count, we need to rejig our mirrors. It's listed as the top mirror in GetAvailable.conf by default, and it was the master. That means the other mirrors aren't updating at all, and that the recipes.gobolinux.org search shows zero packages now.
I suppose that means switching kundor.org to master. We can change the default GetAvailable.conf for the next Scripts release (which I intend to be soon), but the infrastructural changes that implies are a bit more complicated. I don't think it's really necessary to synchronise all the changes though. gobo.kundor.org itself hasn't been hugely reliable so it may not be ideal to have as the master (and actually only) mirror. Can we use gobolinux.org as the master package mirror? I'm not sure what the host has to say about using it as the download master, and it wouldn't be rsyncable, but it might still be usable as the authoritative copy. As well, it wouldn't hurt to have a few more mirrors around in general. Two (plus a half for gobolinux.org) wasn't ever a very redundant structure. Are there any volunteers to host new package? The current infrastructure just requires a cron job running rsync a couple of times a day, and doesn't necessitate mirroring the ISOs as well. I have a VPS around that I think would be usable; I'll just have to check what the whole package repository totals up to now. Jonas has said karlsson.sytes.net is available as well. Any others? Are there any already existing mirrors we don't mention in GetAvailables.conf? If we get new mirrors one of those could be the master instead. It would be good for it to have rsync: support, which I don't think we can get on gobolinux.org. -Michael
