XFCE is only on the CD at this point because Jonas likes it, so any issues with it don't really count here. If it boots and X starts correctly that's a successful test. Later spins will add new layers of software to the production stack, and that will be expected to work.
I have not been able to reproduce either of these in Qemu, however. -Michael
