Thank you, it was an interesting read. Some of the ideas there are not
new, and they seem a rehash of Mac-style approaches, with the
frameworks and all. I also spotted some inconsistencies in the
examples in what made it seem like things are a little simpler than
they would have to be in practice. In the end, I think their idea
gravitates toward a world with 2-3 major distros and all the other
ones being based/compatible with them to some extent. If they push it
hard enough on the business side of thing they may get traction, but
technically I am still skeptical.
