My thought was simply this: Such packages are ideal for isolated, standalone apps, or closely-integrated suites (such as LibreOffice, all of which shares a single main binary). Using pre-existing, separately-maintained versions would reduce the maintenance burden on the Gobo team, leaving them time to focus on the distro itself, and more complex things that are not easily packaged like this -- such as desktop environments. -- Liam Proven - Profile: https://about.me/liamproven Email: lpro...@cix.co.uk - Google Mail/Hangouts/Plus: lpro...@gmail.com Twitter/Facebook/Flickr: lproven - Skype/LinkedIn: liamproven UK: +44 7939-087884 - ČR (+ WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal): +420 702 829 053 _______________________________________________ gobolinux-devel mailing list gobolinux-devel@lists.gobolinux.org http://lists.gobolinux.org/mailman/listinfo/gobolinux-devel
