Hi all! TreeTop Commons is growing again and adding another senior engineer to their backend/API team. TreeTop is a certified B-corp working to create unique software that bridges social gaps by tracking volunteer service and connecting engaged communities. Our flagship products, NobleHour and Collaboratory, are software platforms for collaboration and measurement that encourage users to recognize community, explore and track volunteer efforts, and measure outcomes.
*Here are some basics on the duties and tech stack:* *Treetop is hiring a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our growing API team who brings a passion for collaboration, communication, and building reliable, well-constructed software. In this role, you'll work with other engineers on the team to design, architect and implement end-to-end solutions to challenging problems. Some of the things we are working on include migration of our monolithic services to a microservices framework, introducing more asynchronous concepts into our core architecture to improve performance, and creating specialized data stores to better handle reporting, search, and more. You will play a key role in creating these new systems, help develop and document new best practices, and establish baseline performance for our critical systems going forward.* *Our RESTful API is built in Go atop a graph db in Postgres to deliver data to multiple clients, web and mobile. The TreeTop infrastructure runs entirely in the AWS cloud taking a CI/CD approach with automated testing supplementing manual testing to ensure quality while delivering quickly.* As far as Golang, the team works in Go but knowledge of it is not required for the position - just a desire to work in it :) To learn more about the job and apply online, check out the complete job posting at *http://www.treetopcommons.com/careers <http://www.treetopcommons.com/careers>*.
