One Liner for installing on Linux / Mac or other Unix like OS: (well almost)
1. Become root 2. cd /usr/local run this command: curl https://storage.googleapis.com/golang/go1.9.darwin-amd64.tar.gz 2> /dev/null | tar zxvf - Just make sure you change the URL to curl for the OS version you're working on.
