Follow these steps:
1. sudo rm -rf /usr/local/go (check the path by "which go")
2. download the tar file and un-tar it.
wget https://storage.googleapis.com/golang/go1.9.linux-amd64.tar.gz
sudo tar -C /usr/local -xzf go1.9.linux-amd64.tar.gz
