Given that generics was among the very first language changes proposed and the first official prototype has only arrived 10 years later, I don't think Go is in danger of adding new features at a breakneck pace out of a misguided sense of what might be convenient. To date, the language designers have been extraordinarily careful and measured in any decision to add new language features.
