Isn't the hardness a sign that its a bad idea?  If you *can't* just make 
that cheating, why not make it allowed? Either folks'll follow a 'no 
communication through code' rule or they won't.  It seems like trying to 
keep people from communicating outside the game is impossible ...

More than 1 letter, surely? This _is_ golf.

But it doesn't really help. You can still put lots of useless junk at the
end of your program, and communicate through it. I think it would be hard 
to
make rules which would be effictive in outlawing anything like this.
