This is an interesting find for us golf historians. In the archives of comp.programming.contests I found this thread: http://groups.google.com/groups?threadm=42ifbm%242tt%40vixen.cso.uiuc.edu
The objective is to find the shortest C program that reverses all words in a file. The (surprising!) winning entry is given in one of the last posts. It's 50 strokes, but I think I can shave off at least 1 more. Was this the first Golf contest with money prizes? (-ugene -- http://babyl.dyndns.org/golf/book.xml?style=golfer;id=58
