The ClientLocation feature is great, but it is limited. Please note that, even in the blog post announcing it, there was mention that (a) it would not be absolutely accurate, and (b) it may not work for some IP addresses at all. With WiFi, you will likely be okay because you can still track down ISP's and neighborhood hubs, etc., but with cell phones, because the device is inherently mobile, and IP geocoding can only be based on the best available land location, I suspect that failure will be more of the rule than the exception.
Add to that the fact that most cell phone browsers do not even come close to fully supporting Javascript, and I really don't think I would count on Google's IP geocoding working reliably for cell phones anytime soon. You'll be far better off, I suspect, figuring out how to tap the GPS chips built into most modern cell phones. Sorry to rain on the parade! Jeremy R.
