Hi all. Please go easy on me. I am very new to Visual Studio dot net and have v2008 on hand. I would like to get working with these Google API's and would like to begin with a client/server search (no web search). Local to my server (or remote via LAN/WAN). I do not have a URL or web page.
Questions: 1) With no URL, how do I sign up with Google for a "key"? 2) Is there sample VB.NET code to get me started where I can put my key in and change some back-end database parameters to access? I have SQL Server 2005 and am well versed as a DBA with SQL/database development/programming. Its the front end VB.NET stuff and Google API stuff that I am very new too.
