addQueryAddition is wrong. It will throw an error because it's non- existent. My fault; I wasn't thinking when I typed it. It should be setQueryAddition. That said, I have verified that setQueryAddition is not working with LocalSearch. The searcher accepts the method, presently adds the query addition as searcher.h, and then forgets all about it. It isn't added to the search request's q parameter or anywhere else in the query string. I'm updating your issue with a few notes to that effect.
