Hi,

I have tried this... however it doesn't load. I can see in script file
gsmapsearch.js the line;

this.searchform.input.value = GSearch.strings["search-the-map"]

I tried editing the gsmapsearch.js the give the text I want, ie.,

this.searchform.input.value = GSearch.strings["search here for a
football ground"]


....and then pointing the main script at this instead of the URL, but
the text just changed to "undefined".

I guess "search-the-map" is referenced elsewhere.. Interestingly
"search" worked.... I assume this is another predefined string.
